Grounding refers to direct skin contact with the earth. In years past mankind walked barefoot in constant contact with the earth. Nowadays, unless you’re at the beach, it’s unlikely that you ever walk around barefooted.
Numerous studies are beginning to show that grounding reduces or even prevents signs of injury induced inflammation including redness and swelling. In 20 case studies we also see resolution of chronic inflammation.
The hypothesis is that connecting to the ground allows electrons from the earth’s surface to spread into the body. These electrons may then create an antioxidant shield around the injured area.
Alright-so let’s do today's workout barefoot!
